Savory cake with Neochorouda semiHard cheese & peppers

Ingredients

  • 200 g Neochorouda Semi-Hard Cheese ARVANITI (grated or cut into small cubes)
  • 200 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 120 ml milk
  • 80 ml olive oil
  • 1 red pepper (finely chopped or roasted and diced)
  • 1 green pepper (optional, for extra color)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or dill, finely chopped
  • Salt & pepper (use moderately, as the cheese has a rich flavor)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and olive oil.
  3. Add the flour with the baking powder and mix gently.
  4. Fold in the peppers, herbs, and Neochoroudas SemisHard Cheese.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan.
  6. Bake for about 45–50 minutes, until golden brown and a knife inserted comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving
