Striftaria breadsticks with puff pastry and 1965 Graviera cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (about 250–300 g)
  • 200–250 g grated 1965 Graviera ARVANITI (or more if you want a stronger flavor)
  • 1 egg (for brushing)
  • Sesame seeds for sprinkling

Directions

Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Unroll the puff pastry sheet on a clean surface.

Beat the egg and brush the entire surface of the sheet with a brush.

Sprinkle evenly with the grated 1965 Graviera from Fromagerie ARVANITI.

Fold the sheet in half and press it lightly.

Unroll the sheet again with a rolling pin, brush the surface with a little beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds.

Cut the sheet into strips about a finger thick.

Twist each strip 2–3 times and place them on the baking sheet.

Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
