Fried Saganaki

Ingredients

  • 1 piece of Saganaki ARVANITI (100g) All-purpose flour
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Lemon (for serving)

Directions

Cut the cheese into a piece about 1.5-2 cm thick (not too thin because it will melt).

Run it through water or wet it a little (or with an egg if you want a thicker crust).

Flour it well on all sides. Shake off the excess flour.

In a non-stick pan, heat the oil well (enough to cover the base).

Fry the cheese for 1-2 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Remove it to absorbent paper for a few seconds.

Serve hot, with fresh lemon on top.
