KAVALARI LANGADAS
Vangelis Pred has been engaged in livestock farming since 1992 and his unit has been established for the last 4 years in the village of Kavalari Lagada, just 15 minutes awat from the Fromagerie ARVANITI.
Two people are employed daily with feeding, milking and grazing, and his wife helps everyday herd caring.
The 75 cows of Vangelis belong to the Holstein breed, checked twice a year by the Veterinary Office of Lagadas, which is responsible for controlling the good health and animal welfare of the area.

The cow graze in the courtyard area of the unit with straw, clover, corn, barley, bran and soybeans.
Every morning at 7, the animals are being milked until about 8:30 and again after their return from the herd, at 7 in the afternoon.
The milking is not interrupted throughout the year, although there is a slight decrease in milk production (around 10%) during the summer months.
Our cheese trucks collect every day the fresh cows milk from Vangelis livestock unit, which reaches about 250 tons annualy.
The philosophy of Vangelis combines his love for his animals with his need for work. His philosophy has led him to daily observe the behavior of his animals, to pay attention to their feed and their healthy living conditions.
